My Miele G664 dishwasher has suddenly stopped filling with sufficient water to activate the heating element and release the detergent door. If I throw half a bucket of water into the machine, the wash cycle works. The repairman said I would need to replace the inlet hose (which has an electronic backflow device built in) which costs over $300 for the part. Dishwasher is about 12 years old and till now has worked no problems.
