Older model - C2 according to the manual. Flush water is accumulating in the wells beneath the cassette (I am sure what it is as I use a pink deodouriser). It is not contaminated by waste as it is perfectly clean. I cannot see any signs of a leak but there is a lot of it as it is filling the wells and overflowing and seeping through into the kitchen area floor. I have checked the small pipes beneath the flush water tank for the level indicator and drain nozzle and no apparent problems there. I just cannot find where it is coming from. Can you help please?

Flushing water will not get contaminated as you said as the units of waste and water are separate.
What you can do
Does this ony occure when toilet flushed?
Dry out the cassette housing fill tank with water see if housing gets flooded again.
If not it may be the link between the flush jet and flush tube. If wet without flushing then it could be a split in the water tank. Lastly don't rule out the water tank level indicator it may be where it's coming from so check it again. On mine it's clipped in an upright position if yours is laying down then that could be the problem.
