we have 2l disel zafira year 04 that has a yellow spanner warning light that comes on sparodically. When it does come on we loose power but it still goes. when you swirtch the engine off and restart the light disasppears. It can come on several times in one journey or not at all for weeks. What is it?

The car symbol with the spanner is the cars immobilzer warning light (refer to your handbook)....Engine management light is the engine symbol and the coolant management is the radiator symbol which has a little fan on it.

Hi. I had this problem too. Started in January. I got my mechanic to look at it but he didn't have the full diagnositc kit. It went on for about 3 months before I finally gave in and took it to a Vauxhall workshop. Well, £900 later I wish I'd got it looked at sooner! The loss of power is the car protecting itself. It's in 'limp home mode'. I ended up needing new cam belt, new throttlebody, new 02 sensors and loads more. Bite the bullet and take it in!

u need to take the car to the dealers and their will put it on to the computer and it will tell them what is wrong with the car it my be a sensor to do with the engine the light comes on when the sensor stops working is called the engine manangement light
