how can I fix the handle on my champion 40 petrol mower?

The handle on my lawn mower is broken. the metal has broken apart. Its not in warranty but still have not had it that long and think it must be poorly manufactured for metal to snap! It is near the bottom of the handle. What can I do?

Two choices, either get somebdy to insert a bar inside the two halfs and weld, or purchase a new handle.
