I emptied the filter on my machine yesterday and apart from the hair clips, ben10 sticker, fluff and money there were some small curls of white plastic which I threw away. The machine has leaked from underneath ever since - today soaking through my utility wall into the dining room so its a big leak. Could the filter pipe have disintegrated?

ah thanks - no its not the cap - its water coming from the drain pump In some way i think. Have had to give up trying to sort it myself and call an engineer. thanks anyway

small curls of plastic usually mean that something has been rubbing on the outer tub and cut a hole through it.Not good news if it has!
