for renault megane 1.4 or 1.6 clearence is
inlet 0.10 and exhaust 0.25

checked a haynes manual lol, July 2008

easy,,,
take/unscrew rocker cover off, then use a feeler guage to mesure the gap of each tappet when the cam it well away from the top of the valve . i cannt remember the thinknesses but the inlet needs a diferent thinkness to the outlet..look on google for the gaps needed..
