How to set the 'ON' timer on Bosch Oven HBN 35.0 GB?

The instructions on my Bosch HBN 35.0 GB oven are a little confusing and explain (roughly) how to turn it back on again by timer AFTER it's been on already???
What I want to do is set the timer to come on at a pre-set time (say 2 hours before I come home from work) so the roast etc. will be almost ready when I get in... not asking a lot, but I can't seem to get my head around it.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It's got nothing to do with only Steve knowing what time he wants the oven to come on but everything to do with the instruction manual. The instructions for my Bosch HGD74W455A are every bit as confusing. After wasting nearly half an hour (and getting further and further behind with my chores and grumpier and grumpier) I had to give up and set the timer to remind me when to manually turn the oven on. (It's lucky for me that at least I will be home.) I had no trouble understanding the instructions for my now 18-year-old Smeg, so why should the Bosch be so difficult? I'll try to get my husband to have a go. He has a mechanical mind (and I definitely don't) so he might have more luck. What's the bet he will just lose his temper? :-(

Only you know when you will get home
Only you know when two hours before that is
Only you know what time it is when you set the timer

It's a delay timer - so - if you set it at 07:00 in the morning just before going out - and you get back at 18:00 after a busy day - and you want the oven to begin cooking two hours before this - you need to do a bit of basic maths.

16:00 start and 07:00 now - 16 minus 7 = 9
So you set a 9 hour delay

Of course - I could be wrong - perhaps you just set it to 16:00 the time you want cooking to begin.

The book should tell you which.

Good luck...enjoy your roast dinner...
