Cannot start Qualcast Classic Petrol lawn mower?

I have a Qualcast Classic petrol 35s mower. It has not been used for about 3 years. I cannot start it now - I have changed the spark plug but nothing else. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get it started again?

It is probably the float valve piston that is not releasing when the float drops . They do tend to stick if not used for a period of time . Remove the nut on the bottom of the float chamber and remove canister . You will see a silver coloured object that looks like a screw . check that this moves up and down when you operate the copper coloured round float with your fingers . This lets the fuel into the float bowl and then through to the Other areas of the carb . Could be your problem .
