Have a C5 HDi wagon, had issues with starting in 2012 with similar symptoms readers have mentioned. Had new glow plugs and new fuel pump installed. Weathers getting cooler now in Australia (May 2013) now have starting problems. Those new parts was a waste of money replacing if I am still experiencing difficulty starting in colder weather. Do any Citoroen speacialist really have a genuine answer to fix the problem? Citroen have a lot to answer to repair its image.

I have the same problem as Damien.
When I try to start my C5 all i get is the red stop light and a orange engine shaped light and no starting sound just a click. Car sometimes starts after several retries, but other times it wont start until it's been left for 15 to 30 minutes. Garage suspect fuel filter is waxed up. Any one else had this problem. Thanks

Thanks for all who helped. Fixed now turned out to be starter motor not turning over quickly enough on turnover, although it sounded o/k fault found by citroen garage for me . starts now as soon as it turns. Could be helpful for anyone to consider

key is immobilizer fault, take car battery off, wait 5 minutes, reconnect battery and use ignition key to physically lock and unlock the drivers door several times, then attempt to lock or unlock with remote plipper buttons, if working, insert key into ignition, turn to on position, leave it a minute then start the car.
