my ariston combi boiler only gives luke warm water and then runs cold?

i have an ariston type c boiler the heating works fine but the hot water comes out luke warm for a short time and then runs cold

when you turn on hot water with heating in off position does the flow pipe get hot it will be one of the larger pipes possibly 1st on left ..if it does good chance you have part blocked plate heat exchanger..depending on your skills ..replace or ..clean..
