bike starts up as normal but as soon as the throttle is opened up the revs die and the bike wont go anywhere. this is now causing some issues as i am back on taxi duties. All the obvious faults have been explored to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas please?

The symptoms you describe could be one or a combination of the following;improper carburetor float level, dirty main jet, water in the fuel, an excessively weak mixture. Might also be worth checking any fuel filter for blockages and the petrol cap vent for blockage. Hope thats some help.
