My PSP 1001 randomly turns off while im playing a game whats wrong with it?

I was playing god of war and i set my PSP on my lap for a second with the screen facing up and it turned it self off. why does it do that?

This could be due to hardware issues, like a weak battery or a loose charging port, or sometimes a software problem can cause that. We see this in our shop all the time. But whatever it is, I doubt you can fix it yourself.
