The first light was flashing on ours. Found that the drain had blocked and overflowed all over the kitchen which caused a short somewhere in the dishwasher, probably the element. Cleared the drain and left it to stand for just over a week to dry out. Turned it on, and ran it on the short cycle, everything was ok again.
