fuse for lighter in escort ?

i need to change the fuse in my ford escort 1.6 ( W reg ) for the cigarette lighter and havent got a manual any help would be appreciated Debbi *

Have you considered that the lighter's heating element may have failed? Easy to test it in another car.

As a smoking motorist since 1968 I've replaced several elements but never had a lighter fuse blow - just a thought...
