door interlock hotpoint aquarius washing machine?

Hi I have just bought a new door interlock for my hotpoint aquarious WMA54P- it kept on flashing a red light and in the manual this says it is the door lock not working properly - but do I need to take out the drum to replace the lock - thanks

No you should be able to remove the lid and release the swith from inside then unscrew the two screws from the front of the swith remove the old and put in the new!

hiya no drum stays in 2 remove door lock open door take out the 2 securing screws take off lid put hand down remove lock with wires still attached making sure all power turned off for machine replace in reverse order as removal
