brake problem megane 2003 1.6 vvt?

please help just had changed rear discs and pads and calipiers by a garage due to mot failer because of a sponge brake pedal this has not improved the brake pedal now they tell me its the master cylinder can anyone help and let me know if this is true as this is getting very expensive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A spongy brake pedal is usually associated with air in the system,would have tried bleeding brakes first,rear calipers are usually prone to seizing,ie poor handbrake/footbrake efficiency,would,nt have thought changing discs and pads would have improved pedal unless they were badly warped,they must have had their own reasons for changing the rear brakes,you could ask them
