possible s
1) drain pipe maybe connected to the sink ,this water can flow back into machine (raise the height of the pipe)
2)lots of LOW temp washes being done, this allows mould/bacteria to thrive
3)partly blocked filter causing the whiff
clean the filter out,then (use gloves) wipe the door rubber seal all the way round between the creases with neat bleach, then do a service wash on 90 degrees with NO CLOTHES IN ,just the powder, plus cup neat bleach, plus cup white vinegar, should smell better after this
note the mould may have ate into the rubber seal
