how can I fix my hairdryer?

I have about 20 hairdryers to repair for my wife(she's a hairdresser).Please advise on how to test for faults and how to repair.

Two common problems come to mind.
The appliance stops working because:
1. the Temp. fuse is blown - check this for continuity and replace if open.
2. the bi-metallic thermostat could be open.. check for continuity and check for dirt/dust between contacts.

Overheating in a dryer is commonly caused by obstructions at the vent. (back of dryer), ensure this is clear of hair and stuff at all times.. Check connections in plug-top
