Cover open error on lexmark 3470?

I have the exact same problem with my printer. All i did was change the ink cartridge and now nothing works on my printer. I cant even turn it off with the power button. It just says Cover open and the cover is not open. Very frustrating!

Unplug the printer from the power source. Open the cover where you install the cartridges. Hold the white tape found in the middle inside the printer. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Remove the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer to the power source. Check if problem persists. If it still shows on the display, cover sensor might have gotten stuck. I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance. If not, when it's ready, reload the cartridges. Hope this helps.
