to adam the bike doctor?

help please. i have a sukida ( i know never again). the electrics are broken. i replaced the ignition barrel, charged the battery, replaced the spark plug, and the main fuse. its dead. i found an exposed wire in the head light ( it leads to the light in the rev) that was touching other wires, i have seperated it now. What do i do next? the bike starts up great when you connect the positive terminal and the starter motor.

ok suzanne so is the current problem the fact that the bike will not start off the starter button?if it is then make sure you are pulling both brakes in as you may have a faulty brake light switch.check each brake seperatley and see if the rear brake light comes on when you pull it.if it doesnt then the problem is the brake light switche/s(providing the battery and main fuse is ok)if it does work then are you getting any noises at all when you pull the brake and press the start button?.ill explain how it works you have a started solenoid/relay thay has a permanent feed from the battery through a thick red wire the other thick red wire goes to the starter motor these need to be joined inside the relay/solenoid to make the motor spin.the rely also has two smaller wires one is an earth and the other is a triggered live from the starter button these are the two wires that send power to the relay and make the internal link for the two big red wiresthrough a points assembly in the relay. so when you pull a brake this completes the circuit of feed to the start button and allows it once pressed to send the power to the relay and join the red wires together so to speak.so check the brake lights then check the relay to see if its getting power to one of the smaller wires if its not then the problem is with the start button or start button feed if it is geting a triggered live from the button then either the smaller earth wie has no eart or the solenoid or thick red wire to the starter motor is faulty.let me know how it goes.sorry for the essay :)
