i have taken off the wingnuts securing the bracket to the wheel but dont know how to lower the cable which holds it up

Tool is usually in driver side footwell,look for a hole in rear valance and insert tool into slot and wind down,some trannys have a plug on interior floor above spare but if you have any doubt have a look underneath at the box which houses the cable and you can usually see where the wind down tool goes
