more about fuel solenoid?

Thanx mate you been a real star just one more thing do you mean swappiong the solenoid out of the old pump and will this work cos people are sayin its knackered if its not even turning over secondly if that fails how do i get that spring and plunger thing out, thnx you are saving my life

take solenoid out of old pump (just screws in like big bolt) when you take it out you will see a metal pin with a spring inside that pushes it down to shut off fuel when turn ignition on it magnetises and pulls pin up to let fuel through check to see if they are same if so swap them (be careful not to damage wires ) if not swapping em just pull pin out and spring then screw in and tighten
