how do I disassamble my Rowenta is8100 steamer?

The power does not work, I can not get the steamer apart to check the switch?

Thanks Keven. Worked great.

Unscrew the plastic collar from the steam outlet on top of the machine. The chrome nut that the support rod screws into does not need to be removed. Then remove six screws from the botton. Four of these are easily visible but two are hidden by the swivel casters. Turn each caster until you see the screw and remove each. Gently pry the two pieces apart. There will be about three wires that are too short so you will have to cut them to make access easier. The on/off switch is under the plastic foot. It can be carefully removed by prying it loose from the two plastic hinge points. I couldn't removed it to see the electric switch until I cut a little plastic away from above the plastic foot.
Hope this helps.
