Zanussi TC481 will not tumble?

Zanussi TC481 will not tumble but everything else works, e.g. heater and fan are still working. Have you any tips for a competent DIY fix?

is the belt around the drum?.take top off and check.
faulty capacitor mounted at the side of the motor could also be an issue
