Ferolli combi boiler - I pressed the wrong button?

I was trying to fix the water temp on my parents' central heating boiler and touched the + and - buttons and the one between that I now find is marked engineers only. The thermostat on the hall now reads of and there are no readings on the hot water side of the display. How can I fix it?

Your info regarding the thermostat is vague, however lets deal with your buttons. These have two roles, by pressing the +/- together the boiler is forced into a 15mins flat out burn so that the flue gases can be analysed so you haven't activated this. The other use is a bit long winded but it applies to OTC outside temp compensation which is an optimising set-up to adjust the room aumbience whilst looking at the outside temp. If you have OTC the right hand corner of display shows the temp and data during set up Press M once and a number 0-10 appears use +/- buttons and set this to 0 which puts OTC off normally 9or10 required in UK. Try this for starters otherwise download manual to learn more regarding the topic.
