how do I adjust cut on old petrol suffolk punch cylinder mower?

Have an old petrol mower which I love but I can't get an even cut. One side cuts better than the other.
There are screws on each side of blade and a large knob at one side which I think moves the wheels forward to raise/lower height. What do I do next please ???

The left and right screws adjust the clerance between the cylinder and the bottom blade, turn the fuel off and lean the mower back on its handles, carefully rotate the cylinder by hand, with a peice of paper, see where the clinder cuts and where it does not, increase the screw on the side that is not cutting, all that said it may need the cylinder and bottom blade sharpening
