Flymo tc330 hover has stopped and has spat out a long piece of reinforced s?

Flymo tc330 hover has stopped and has spat out a long piece of reinforced string, looked like it was once insulated but is now worn out. Is this the integral part which makes it hover and turn the blade? how can I fix please?

Sounds like the belt has shredded, you need to remove the motor and base plate and fit a new belt, the belt is from the motor to the blade drive.
