The leg fits inside a tube with holes. The length can be varied to engage in another hole. A spring loaded button is pressed in to vary the length, and then released to engage in the chosen hole. My problem is that the button has stuck inside the tube, and presumably I now have to pull out the spring and button and then re-insert into the tube.
