Renault Scenic 99 Handbrake Cable is Stretched?

My Handbrake Cable is stretched on my Renault Scenic MPV 99 (Y) Is this an expensive job to fix or can it be done at home?

cables not xpensive from motor factors but see if slack can be adjusted first usually can take up slack look for adjuster not too sure your model but normally by the handbrake lever
