Reverse sensors?

Hi, I've got a 52 plate ford focus & suddenly my reverse sensors became intermittant. I've since found out that this also seems to be linked to my reverse light.
Does anyone know of any sensors or anything else I need to look at (& where they're located)

Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. I took it all apart and everything looks ok that end, so im thinking it must be the sensor thats underneath the gearstick, however to get access I need to remove a cover, but seeing as im not sure what to expect when I take it off, I think i might leave it to a professional
