can any body help i have a very weak spark the engine is old fitted with pointscould any one help what could be wrong

the points are dirty and pitted,or capacitor problem,
the points you clean up with very fine emery paper, something like 800 to 1000 grit, then re gap the points to about 15 thou, all this has to be done through the small inspection window if you cannot draw off the flywheel magneto cover, while your in there change the capacitor
