Hello

Whenever I use my Indesit WIDL102 washing machine the surrounding carpet in front and to the left hand side (when facing the drum door) becomes really wet as if water is leaking out from the bottom of the machine.

I have cleaned out the filter on the front to check there is nothing clogging it up. I also cleaned the soap dispenser draw and ran it empty with cleaning crystals. While it was running the same thing happened, the carpet in front of the machine and to the left hand side of the machine began to become really wet again.

I watched the machine whilst it was on and did not see any water leaking from the water inlet hose or the drain hose.

When I opened the filter to clean it, quite a lot of water came out. It does say in the manual that a little water may trickle out but this seemed a bit more than a trickle to me. Could this be some how connected?

Can anyone help with this problem?

Sounds just like mine! My big black hose from the dispenser drawer to the drum was split and leaking when the water went into the machine. Replacement cost about £17, bought online by typing in a search for indesit washing machine hose.
It is a common part for a number of machines and is accessible if you take the top off. Please disconnect from the power before touching, I know someone who died trying to fix a washing machine.

I just wanted to add that it isn't just to the front and side, the carpet is wet around the whole of the washing machine.
