recondition 2.5 iveco 1993 td medium wheelbase gear linkage. ?

h i, the gear change is very spongy , difficult to locate gears loads of play. any advice. thanks. tim

get someone to work g/change,have a look at linkage at g/box,see if you can see where free play is at,maybe worn balljoints/rods etc and replace what is worn,if ok there have a look at foot of gear lever for the same faults,good luck
