rear hub on citroen berlingo?

I have a 2001 berlingo, I want to change the rear shoes. The manual says the hub comes off without removing the centre wheel nut. I have tried everything including blowtorch and hammer, as the glow plugs seem to be different from any other berlingo, is the rear wheel hub, if not any ideas

the central hub does not have to come off on the berlingo. The manual says taking it off ruins the bearings. By warming the hub and putting a small amount of WD in the bolt and screw holes, them knocking from the back, meant that after repeating this about 10 times ( lots of warming an d WD) the outer hub seperated showing the rust that had seized the outer and inner together. Lots of Patience needed.

Try removing the hub nut & remove the hub as well, this will also give you more space for fitting the shoes.

On Ford Fiesta's, Ford recommended un-bolting the four bolts on the rear of the brake backplate then the drum comes off with the stub axle
