replace clutch on astra ?

do i need to remove the gear box on a astra year 2000
to replace the clutch the engine is a eco tek 1600 or can i gain access to the transfer shaft and clutch with the box in place

check for tin plate on bottom of bell housing if it has one fitted you do not need to remove gearbox to change your clutch. hope this helps.GOOD LUCK.
