My Flymo 330 just died!?

I changed the cutting depth.. it started mowing fine and then I stopped for a moment to talk to someone and then when I returned it wouldn't work. I changed the fuse and checked all leads and it isn't that. When I lift the handle and press the button.. it sounds as though a trip is stopping the mower powering up... thoughts?

Micro switch fault all too common on Flymos

Cant help, but ive got the same issue, stopped to empty grass box & wont re-start, now I have a half mowed lawn

Plug it in and hold the switch in to start it in the normal way. With your spare hand and with the switch still held in- waggle/flick around the mains lead going into the switchbox. Electric mowers have a habit of breaking down the copper wiring inside the cable due to the lead being constantly moved about and normally where it goes into the switchbox is where it breaks first. If the mower stops/starts whilst conducting this experiment then you know it's a "work hardened break" in the mains lead and it should either be replaced or the damaged/broken part of the cable cut out and re-wired.

As far as i remember there is no re set button or over load protection, it may well be just the switch, if not it will be a motor issue

I too have the same problem. I'm trying to find out if there's a reset button anywhere on my flymo but am not having much luck and am desperate to get my lawn cut before the rain comes!
