auto box stuck in second gear?

i have an espace 2.0l auto 1998.it works fine in reverse park and neutral.when its in drive its stuck in second gear.when i put it it 1,2 or 3 theres no difference.any suggestions on how to solve this

It's more likely to be in limp mode (third gear). There should be a fault light on. Codes need to be accessed to decide on how to rectify. for auto specialist near you www.fedauto.co.uk
