gearbox?

sorry. ive had my car, (renault senic 20e auto)for just over a year and the gearbox light came on the dash and now won't go further than second gear. if you turn the engine off then back on the problems gone but he keeps coming back can you please help resolve whats wrong thanks.

It's more likely to be in limp mode (third gear) The light tells you there is 'a' fault or faults. Codes need to be accessed to determine remedy. For specialist www.fedauto.co.uk
