I have a escort rs turbo s2 88 spec when the engine is cold it works a treat and pulls for fun,but then when cold it starts to run sluggish where 1 minute it will kick in and then another min feel like its running on 3 plugs,i have placed a new fuel filter,coil and fuel pump but still no differance,does any1 out there have any idea's if so drop us a line cheeRS paul.

Hydraulic tappet jacking! causing a valve, not to shut properly.Try some fresh oil, may be of a thinner grade!

I assume you meant when not cold it starts to get sluggish? If so check the air filter (if your air filter has a valve that opens and closes when hot or cold) check the air vlave is working (valve that lets air into the air filter).i have had a very similar problem with a ford but not an RS Turbo. (if need be change the air filter assy.

I had a rattlesnake 1 of these years ago used to have same problem recur it ended up being the distributor breaking down try that mate
