Hotpoint Aquarius WMA33 will not spin everything else ok?

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA33 8yrs old never had a problem. Now machine will not go into spin cycle. if it helps indicator for rinse is flashing & spin indicator is lit continuously.

Change the carbons in your motor.To test beforehand locate the motor and tap gently with a hammer if it jumps then it is the brushes
