engine?

my yamaha 20hp 2stroke starts fine but hot cuts out and there dont seem tobe much water coming out of it

Check water intake you may have a cloged water line or reduced flow due to debris in line. Your mtr may have a thermostat which will reduce the RPMs when motor gets hot a safety feature. Or a faulty thermostat.
