No matter what I do my cash register XE a203 is reading ppppppppppp across the screen. Rebooting will make them go away but then after pushing any keys it comes back

any ideas???

Replace the paper roll, turn the key to REG and press clear (CL). If the problem returns, you probably have the wrong width paper.
