To access the cord reel, take off the motor cover (the plastic cover that contains the HEPA filter on top of the unit). There are 4 screws that have to be taken out. 2 of them are underneath the bag cover hinges, the other two are found underneath the gray cord retract button. You will have to pry the button off with a screw driver. Try to pull upward on the button when prying it off to avoid breaking the tabs that keep it in the motor cover. Once you have the cover off, you can unwire the cord reel, pull it out, and install your new cord reel. If you need any more help or parts information, our email address is arctic@worldlynx.net
