hi i fitted a new engine in my van but now i cant ge3t no gears and i cant move the van with the clutch in either, its like if its siezed i tested the engine before fitted i know thats good, its something to do with gearbox, it feels like if its stuck in gear, cant push it as it locks up and cant start off the key as it locks up then too, before i changed engine i had all gears, have anyone got any ideas, i changed flywheel over and clutch too as they were diffrent sizes

i taken the box out today and engine is turning free and gearbox is spinning fine, and there are no bearings in the engine in centre of flywheel, any ideas anyone, thanks

Hi, I'm not a manual box guy but as the car doesn't move then I think you have 2 gears selected at the same time. This would lock the drive on the input and output of the box. Check if the engine starts with the clutch depressed to prove it's not a spigot problem. If so you will have to sort out the selector linkage which could have been moved on the engine swap.

did you check spigot shaft bearings were the same if clutches different then spigot shafts different too (spigot shaft is shaft in gearbox going into clutch ) if you have forced larger shaft int smaller bearing in middle of crank will seize shaft causing this problem if this is the case split it and put right bearing in
