how do u reformat a disk drive? what steps do u need 2 do?

If you have only the one drive:-

put in your operating disc close machine down and make sure in the bios* the computer accesses your cd/dvd before the hard drive.

*access the bios usually by the F1, F2 or delete key as the computer is booting up.

once the bootup process is locating your cd/dvd before the hard drive you will be given an option to 'boot from cd' select this option.
Now you will be given options to format with either fat32 or ntfs as well as many others.

All Operating Systems (OS) vary. Sometimes a little sometimes a lot. If its a recent Windows. Go to Windows Explorer. Right click on the drive that you wish to format. Choose 'Format'.

If this doesn't help. Try again with a bit more info. Like what OS are you using.
