I need to fix my washer paddles on my Tricity Bendix AW1400W?

One of the paddles in the drum has cracked off and come away from the drum.
They are fairly cheep to buy, and it is said, easy to fit.
However, on the instructions there is a retainer screw but I cannot see anywhere to screw this in from the outside so it appears it must be screwed in from the inside of the drum.
Is this the case, or am I missing something?

yes there is a screw and it depends on the drum.some screws can be fitted by removing the bottom hose.some have to have the drum split in half (big job).I have fitted paddles without screw and although not perfect have survived ok
