i have cut through the wire on my hedge trimmer. how can this be fixed. it is a black and decker gt360 model

Two ways - dismantle and fit either a new cable or the original cable but slightly shortened to lose the damaged piece - OR - fit an in-line connector like this one...

With the male plug piece connected to the trimmer side for safety
