hi my cbr is making a ticking noise and some times it runs on 3 cylinders when you open it up it revs 8 thou then drops to seven and goes back up it will go all the way up then . i think its one of the valves gone
no its not that high 37,000 ive only had the bike 2 months i will have to book it in for a sevice

yur bike wouldnt be running properly at all. If at all. do all you basic checks. I had a GSX 1100 and one of the HT leads were loose and it meant erraic sparking.
Sounds as though your bike needs a service. Including valve clearence check. Is it high miles? when did you last change the oil?

no i have,nt checked the plugs but they were new about 2 months ago . it does pull ok when its running ok . how do you know if a valve has gone

Andrew. It could be so many things. what makes you think a valve has gone? Have you done all your basic checks sparks, petrol etc etc.. Personally if you think a valve as gone I wouldnt be revving it like that.
