My Ford Ka Is A 1999 Model, and the rear wiper will not wipe when switched on. The front wipers / washers work fine, and the rear wash works fine too.
Also the Tailgate release from inside the car will not open the tailgate either, i wonder if the two problems are related?, Would anyone be able to offer me some troubleshooting advice, Please?, Pip.

have you run a seperate earth from body to tailgate as i suggested -i think you may find this to be your problem!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I have cleaned the brass contact plates using a wire descaling pad, and also the pins on the edge of the boot itself, but no joy.
Also checked the two earth wires that bolt onto the boot, and sprayed with WD40 but still no luck.
Is there a fuse in the contact board itself that may of blown?.
Think i need a new rubber boot for the top of the talegate as its spit as i prised it open with a screwdriver, hehe.

may be earthing fault, you will need to run a seperate earth lead from main body to tailgate.[they normally earth through hinges but when they get a few years old rust etc causes poor connection on hinges].
