Sew tric?

Hi.

Any chance of a copy of the wiring for this.

I can get full speed on the motor, so I know that works. I can get the light on the sewing machine to work - though not at the same time.

But the wiring from a mains (Uk) 3 pin plug through the sewing machine and on to the foot pedal is a mystery.

Footpedal is metal box with copper/brass bar hinged above 5 contacts - linked to a "tube" at the side which I imagine is a rheostat.

Thanks in advance.

Graham

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry it would have been really helpful if i had said there are 3 pins going into the motor.

Hello Graham,
That is a very very old motor and control, you should have a four pin plug going into the machine, the largest pin is the earth, two red wires joined together and going to the right pin, two black wires on seperate pins, if the light goes off or runs on change the black wires over.
